My name is Lupe Valdez, and I am a Program Specialist for Siskiyou County, supporting Expanded Learning SAFE Afterschool Programs. I began working in education in 2016 at Montague Elementary School and have truly enjoyed supporting students and school communities ever since.
Originally from Gonzales in South Monterey County, known as the “Salad Bowl of the World,” I previously spent 20 years working with Bank of America before transitioning into the field of education.
In January 2016, I moved to Siskiyou County with my husband and our three children. Soon after, I began working in education and quickly discovered a passion for helping students grow, creating positive learning environments, and building meaningful connections within our community.
